I’m a UX/UI designer based in Toronto, ON. The only thing I like more than design is food. When I’m not on Figma I’m usually tracking down the best new restaurants or cooking something new.
My background is in Neuroscience and Psychology and I’m fascinated by designs that drive behaviour change.
After graduating from the University of Toronto, I worked as a health and wellness coach, and a well-being coordinator. In this role, empathy was key. I learned how to ask questions and really listen to my users. I saw first-hand how my participants used technology to create positive change within their lives, and I decided that I wanted to play a key role in researching and designing new and exciting digital experiences.
I decided to push myself outside of my comfort zone and pursued a 12 week UX Bootcamp with BrainStation. I learned so much in such a short amount of time and I'm excited to continue to learn and improve as a designer!
Whether it's in my career, or my personal life, these are some of the things I think are important.
Working with others truly energizes me and pushes me to do my best. I thrive in supportive and diverse environments where I can learn and grow alongside teammates and mentors.
I get bored easily, which is why I do my best in an environment where I'm being challenged. I get excited about taking on new projects because that's where I can grow.
Creativity is a skill, and I try to practice it whenever I can. Whether it's coming up with a meal based on what I have in the fridge, or any other problem, I know that the best solutions aren't always the most obvious ones.
I'm a hands-on learner, and believe that the best way to learn a new skill is by tackling it head on.
Taking care of myself means I'm able to show up for my work as well. It means I'm more creative, productive and engaged. I believe a strong team is full of people who feel fulfilled in all aspects of their lives.
